Introduction: The basis of treatment of primary hyperparathyroidism (pHPT) is parathyroidectomy of the responsible lesion, and thus, preoperative localization is important. Ectopic parathyroid adenomas are rare, and they can be accounted for persistent or recurrent hyperparathyroidism.
